Al Conrad has been part of the Critical Alert family since 1991. In his role as Hardware Engineer, he designs Critical Alert’s nurse call hardware. Al also created a patented infrared tracking system.
Al’s engineering career began at General Dynamics in Los Angeles as a Design Engineer working on missile guidance design. From there, he went on to work for Hughes Aircraft Company where he designed their first two large scale CMOS Gate Arrays. Always wanting to expand his horizons, Al worked for Clifford Electronics and designed the first RF remote-controlled microcontroller-based car alarm.
Al has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Temple University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
