Haitham Habib

Software Engineer

Haitham Habib was born in Winter Haven, Florida, but grew up overseas along the coastline of Muscat, Oman.  He returned to Florida in 2002 to attend the University of North Florida where he received a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with a minor in Business Administration. Haitham also has an associate’s degree in Computer Science from Polk State College.

Haitham recently joined the Critical Alert family as a Software Engineer in the R&D department.  His interest in software development started at the young age of four when his father brought home a Hewlett Packard PC. Haitham’s key interests are in algorithm analysis, code optimization, and developing good UI/UX products for end-users.  He began his career in the mortgage industry and after almost a decade, decided to make a switch to healthcare where he could write software that saves people’s lives.

Haitham is passionate about music and is a classically trained musician.  He has played the saxophone for over 20 years and has performed for several VIPs including the late President George H.W. Bush.  Haitham also plays drums and bass guitar, often as a session musician in studios and occasionally at various church music ministries.

Haitham loves listening to music as much as he likes playing it.  He is a huge fan of hard rock and has been in the front-row for many concerts including Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffett, The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Guns n’ Roses and many more.

Haitham is also a great fan of outdoor activities.  On the weekends, you will often find Haitham with friends fishing, kayaking, camping, or boating.  He really tries to take advantage of Florida living.
