Kristal Rayson

Director of Sphere3 Operations

Kristal began her career in healthcare at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City as a certified Patient Care Technician, Unit Secretary, and Monitor Technician. These different roles provided her insight on the everyday challenges of caregivers.

After 2 years of service at Truman, she was recruited by a Nurse Call reseller in Kansas City to develop a training and programming collection process and to facilitate training for all nurse call implementations. As a process-oriented person, this was a natural fit for Kristal. During this time, she realized the lack of supporting data in the industry that was needed improve processes. To help promote this change, Kristal joined Sphere3® at its inception in 2009. Sphere3 was an analytics company focused on providing workflow recommendation and “hard-to-reach” data to help hospitals improve patient care. Sphere3 merged with Critical Alert in April of 2019.

Kristal is an expert in clinical communication workflow, has extensive knowledge of patient flow, admission/discharge procedures, culture of safety initiatives, and communication process.

Kristal has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Administration. In addition, she is certified on many systems including: nurse call, middleware, and end point devices. Kristal has participated in research studies including the published study “Effectiveness of a bed alarm system to predict falls in an acute care setting” published in the Clinical Nursing Studies journal.

Kristal enjoys hosting family events and holidays. She loves taking road trips with her husband, Phil and two kids, and can be found camping whenever possible.
