Rod Corn, FACHE

Executive Strategist

Rod Corn began his healthcare career in 1979 at Olathe Health System in Kansas City as the Assistant Administrator.  When he left the as SVP Operations, it had grown into a 350-acre Medical Park with range of care from Acute Care to Independent Living with over 5,000 employees.

Rod’s career has been quite diverse as he has over 25 years in hospital C-Suite leadership roles. Rod’s professional path also included a 6-year technology track as one of the founding directors of Sprint Telecommunications Healthcare Systems.

Rod’s role at Critical Alert involves helping a variety of hospitals enhance and improve clinical communications, workflow, and patient satisfaction Rod is passionate about what he does and is thoroughly enjoying his current position.

Rod’s favorite part of being a hospital executive was rounding and visiting with patients and employees. He cherishes the memories and wisdom acquired from his experiences and shares them with those he counsels as a volunteer leadership mentor for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  Rod has published several blogs regarding his experiences and lessons learned which are posted on his LinkedIn page.

Rod has been married to his wife, Janet, for 32 years.  They have two children, a daughter and a son who are both married.  Rod and Janet have four grandchildren. When not spending time with his family, Rod enjoys playing golf and reading books about history.  His current goal is to read an autobiography or biography about every U.S. President.  He is also a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan!
